BK21 Yonsei Education & Research Center for Biosystems consists of full time faculty and students of Yonsei University’s Division of Life science & Biotechnology. The Division of Life science & Biotechnology was launched in 2006 by combining the graduate programs of the three departments in the university’s life science fields(the Departments of Biology and Biochemistry from the College of Science and the Department of Biotechnology from the College of Engineering). This allowed us to maximize the research results through the integration of basic and applied life sciences and to develop professional talent with multidisciplinary expertise needed in industrial settings.
